NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

National Service Scheme (NSS) in India was started in 1969, this public service program is sponsored by the Government of India and is conducted by Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.

The aim behind the program of NSS is to provide help to everyone who needs it, to enhance and bring a better change in the standard of living and the way they lead their life with dignity.

National Service Scheme (NSS) is beneficial to both students as well as the society in various means. NSS helps the student to grow individually and also as a group. It makes the students confident, develop leadership skills, and gain knowledge about different people from different walks of life. Students also learn other skills that help them lead a better life in various situations. It teaches them to be disciplined and organized with the objectives then for themselves and their goals.

The objectives of the NSS scheme are:
